UFO Sighting in Hickory, North Carolina on May 19th 2014 - Tube type, slender,long, magnetic field with a twisting at the back end.

Object was observed with the use of a digital camera. Not visible to the human eye. Object appears to have been traveling at a high rate of speed. It came from the South West at a low altitude, then went straight up and out of sight. Object was long and narrow, gray in color and almost transparent. The body was wrapped in an energy field and produced a twisting shape at the rear end.There was no noise coming from the object.I was standing in my front yard at the time looking for anything out of the ordinary.Without the ability to see these subjects, one must take hundreds of camera shots in the same location and review them later with the aid of a computer.

UFO SIGHTINGS RIFE IN THE NORTH EAST, UK

The North has been at the centre of a large amount of UFO activity, including one of the most famous and credible sightings - and a well known hoax.

The former took place on September 19, 1952, during Operation Mainbrace, a huge NATO exercise involving 85,000 personnel from the armed forces of Europe and North America to show its might to the Soviet Union.

As part of it, an Irish squadron was posted to RAF Topcliffe in North Yorkshire. The incident - which last barely 20 seconds, - occurred as they watched a Meteor jet fighter returning to base. The following day Flight Lieutenant John Kilburn wrote a report based on the sighting witnessed by him and four colleagues.

He said as the fighter descended they noticed an object in the sky flying at 10 to 20,000 feet some five miles behind the Meteor. The object was silver and circular and appeared to be travelling much slower than the fighter but on the same course.

Flt Lt Kilburn described how it began to descend, swinging in a “pendular motion”, similar to a “falling sycamore leaf”.

At first they thought it was a parachute, then the Meteor turned towards Dishforth and the object followed but after a few seconds stopped its pendulous motion and descent and then began to rotate on its axis.

“Suddenly it accelerated at an incredible speed towards the west,” Flt Lt Kilburn wrote.

“The movements of the object were not identifiable with anything I have seen in the air and the rate of acceleration was unbelievable”.

There were several other sightings at that time and, reportedly, a radar confirmation of the incident. Copies of the report were forwarded to the Government and it caused a media storm.

As did the second incident which took place two years later in Cumbria.

It took place near the village of Torver in the Lake District of Cumbria, England and involved a couple of lads, aged 13 and eight.

They had gone on a walk to a place overlooking the ‘Old Man of Coniston’ taking with them a period Kodak box camera.

The older boy claimed he felt “an unusual urge” to keep climbing the hill then they noticed a UFO.

They then took two, slightly out-of -focus, photographs.

One of their dads told them to write a report and draw a sketch of what they’d seen.

The photos were developed and seemed to show an usual craft with portholes and bulbous projections suspended beneath it.

Meanwhile the dad notified the newspapers and the boys became overnight celebrities, even being interviewed by the private secretary of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

They later revealed it was all a hoax.

Over the years there have been many reports in the region of mysterious flashing lights, weird and wonderfully shaped craft.

All these episodes have been exhaustively documented.

The reports come from people from all walks of life, ordinary members of the public, the police force, the army . . . and even a priest.

Another well known tale - and certainly one of the most entertaining - is that of the Gateshead Grey when an Alien got more than he/she/it bargained for when it tried to a abduct a Geordie lad.

The boy has described how in 1940, when he was aged five, he had been on Saltwell Road in the Bensham area of Gateshead with a pal watching soldiers march past before going off to then returning to his home in Hedley Street.

He said on the way he was confronted by an “egg-shaped” craft surrounded by “bright light”.

The lad said he then saw three strange-shaped creatures ranging from 2ft to 4ft tall, all grey in colour, one looked like Big Foot while another had long flowing hair and a coat that partially covered a skeletal body and bat wings.

He claimed they spoke to him in perfect English and asked to examine him and took blood out of his neck.

UFO Sighting in Florida on December 13th 2013 - Glowing redish orange orbs floating across the sky travelling from North to South then West

Sitting outside on the back porch looking west, noticed three redish orange orbs flame-like travelling from the north to the south then to the west. Then there were 2 or 3 more travelling in the same direction followed by 3 more travelling in the same direction followed by 3 more traveled in the same direction with no sounds, no other lights except for red orange lights. Spherical shape, hovered in a path and abruptly changed courses. At first I thought it was an alien being a believer of aliens. I was shocked and got my wife, son, and roommate to come see the UFOs (12). We later kept losing sight of the UFOs because they traveled further away from us into space.

UFO Sighting in Waupun, Wisconsin on July 14th 2013 - Observed 4 glowing white objects moving south to north and then north to south

Our son, 9, came in from stargazing to tell us he'd seen four large glowing white (golfball sized) objects traveling from south to north. They were in a group and moving very fast. His total sighting was less than 3 seconds. He came in to get us and ran back outside, with me following. He observed three of the same size and shaped objects traveling now north to south. This is not the first time he's observed these same objects in our vicinity. He was understandably excited about having seen these, but at the same time nervous about what he'd seen and what they are, considering he's seen them before. We did observe a jet traveling about 20,000 feet above after the second set of lights were observed. The objects were fast-moving and glowing white, according to my son. On 7/13/2013 I observed about 4:30 AM a large, silent "plane" above our town. It was pulsating green and white on wing tips and a red light on the nose. This was an extremely large plane and yet it made no noise and moved slower than a jet would at that altitude. I would estimate it to have been about 15,000 feet up but again, no sound. It was headed in a southeast-northwest direction.

UFO Sighting in Matthews, North Carolina on December 25th 2012 - I saw 4 orangeish orbs going in a straight line across the sky.

we all were at my parents house for Christmas dinner and my niece went outside to the back porch and returned inside yelling for my father to come outside i went out first with him following. what i say when i went out the back door was two objects that were in formation floating in a west direction others took my attention to another orange colored object moving faster and much ahead of the two slower moving objects so returned my attention back to the two objects. i keep trying calm everyone down as they asked what it was. i at first believed it to be a government drone with orange lights to distinct them from anything else, but they were so low to ground. i keep telling everyone to calm down and be quit because, i just want to listen and see if i could hear a motor.as soon as i stepped out the door everything slowed down, it was exciting and frightening at the same time i just wanted to justify what i was looking at as i listened harder and harder and focused as they moved harmonically across the sky it was apparently to all of us these were making no noise at all. further confusing everyone with what they saw. i have many ideas for what i saw that night but nothing still makes any since we all need help understanding what happen.

UFO Sighting in North Richland Hills, Texas on December 22nd 2012 - I saw this on Dec 20, 2012 also. It looked like a helicopter, flashed white, sparkled multicolor, went to white and disappeared.

UFO Sighting in Charlotte, North Carolina on September 6th 2012 - Witnessed yet again a unknown flying object in the same area over the course of a week.

Over the past weeks ending in August threw early September I noticed many unknown flying objects in the same locations just outside the city limits of Charlotte North Carolina. As a pilot I can assure you that these aren't civilian craft or craft thought up by our mind as it is evolved to this point in our history. I believe the incidents to be a string of UFO related events. This last event included various military helicopter's following both the crafts and my car as I witnessed the events. I did bring camra's out for a few day's after my last sighting hoping to catch them on camra. After a few day's I assumed the sighting would end but obviously I made a mistake to assume that. Everytime I witness this I'm driving and one incident almost caused me to run off the road. Pretty amazing to witness!!! John (Pilot, Ex-military)

Black Triangle Sighting in Aulander, North Carolina on September 15th 1997 - Huge triangle shaped object flies over 5 friends

My wife and i pulled into a wide open field where 3 of our friend were hanging out. When we got there they were all saying they saw something huge fly over a few minutes earlier. To our amazement, either it came back or another was following because it came over again while we all 5 were there. I was triangle, very large, maybe about the size of a football field with reddish orange lights. the brightest was the two at the front with 4 to 6 more lights of the same color but not as bright. It made absolutely no noise at all. i know it was huge because it blacked out large areas of the stars behind it as it passed over. it silently flew out of sight over the horizon. we are all close friends and could not believe what we saw. we stayed up most of the night in total disbelief, talking about it. we have talked about it for years. I have seen things like the lights over phoenix several months after we saw it and was amazed at the similarity. I will never forget it as long as i live! I want to know what we saw that night. is it a real extra terrestrial or secret military that we saw?

UFO Sighting in Mooresville, North Carolina on July 9th 1967 - Large U.F.O. over my Grand-father's Church

When I was about 10 years old. I was walking out of my grandfather's church when I looked up. I had never seen an airplane before, so I thought, "uh-oh. This is it." I saw the bomb doors open and I thought I saw a man in a gray jacket with gray fur around his face and wearing very large sunglasses. He looked down at me. I waved at him but he didn't wave back, so I bent over for some rocks to throw at him. He finally raised his arm to say "How" just like the Indians did on TV and the movies. He had no gloves on and he had very long fingers on his left hand. I dropped the rocks and started to wave back at him. The ship was moving about 3 miles an hour, so I walked with it and we stared at each other until it disappeared over the treetops behind the church. UFO Sighting in Seattle, Washington on August 11th 2012 - Glowing orange-red ball of light moving slowly north to south then disappears

Looking South out my window around 10:20 PM. A golf ball sized glowing red-orange ball of light flew almost directly overhead from North to South. There was a jet taking off from SeaTac and I could make an easy comparison to it...This object had no blinking lights, but seamed to slowly pulsate. It moved very slow across the sky about a third of the speed of the jet, until fading out in the southern sky. I have seen many types of aircraft from SeaTac and Boeing Airfields and different helicopters including news, police and Harborview's medic copter, but this was unlike anything I have ever seen in the air. The only possible thing I could think of was it could have been a Japanese lantern, but I have never seen one of those in person either, so I can't say for sure. It was just strange. Also, I have been seeing a lot of strange lights over the Seattle area since about February.

UFO Sighting in Hickory, North Carolina on July 31st 2012 - Two sightings on two consecutive mornings

1st Object: On the morning of Tuesday of July 31st at 05:30am I was leaving the garage and walking to my truck facing eastern sky to get ready for work when I noticed some different in the sky. I face this skyline every morning, if there is something out of the ordinary out of place I will surely know about it. This morning was an exception there was something out of the ordinary. The craft was approximately 5000 feet up and maybe a 1 mile away oval shaped as best as I could see and metallic chrome bright, it was the brightest object in the sky that morning it was very distinct against the skyline compared the Venus, Jupiter or any of the stars that were out. I stared at this object for what seemed to be about 5 min, the initial sighting thought it was an airplane, just brushed this aside this object was just hovering there. I waited for a while to see what was going to happen nothing much after 5 min, and then I decide to g to work and see if it will follow me. 2nd Object On Wednesday of August 1st at 05:45am, approximately the same time walking to the truck just like the previous morning but this time with great expectations in seeing the same craft again but nothing. Disappointed I decided to go to work as usual, but this morning was unusual, approx 10 min from home driving west on I-40 going to work when I saw what appeared to be the same craft or one like I saw yesterday morning, the craft was to my left above the tree lines and appeared to be keeping pace with car. This time the craft appeared to be closer than yesterday maybe 3000 feet up, this lasted for approximately 2 min when it slowly descended behind the tree line to my left. Two sightings on two consecutive mornings, one always asks ???oneself Why, Why me???

UFO Sighting in North Babylon, New York on June 23rd 2012 - Bluish white light that vanished

This was by far the best event I have witnessed, the same light same object came over and slowed down at one point as if it was putting on a show for me. Last night was stormy and you couldn't see anything sure enough tonight is crystal clear and it came back and was it's best showing yet.I was completely overwhemled with happiness when it slowed down the way it did and just stuck around these events are becoming so addicting its unreal.

UFO Sighting in North Royalton, Ohio on June 23rd 2012 - Looked like a campfire in the sky, moving fast

190 Description: On June 23rd at 22:30 I observed a fire ball approaching me from above the neighbors house, from the east. I was getting into my truck. I called to my wife who was moving a car out of the driveway. I thought at first it was an aircraft engine fire, yellow flames, almost like a campfire in the sky. The fire light went to about 45 degrees past us then flamed out. About thirty seconds later I noticed a second ball of light(firelight) approach from the same direction. It too move passed us then flamed out. I went into the house and told my daughter to go out and look and a third went past and went farther west then flamed out. Suddenly a fourth ball of fire approached at about the same path and it burned out just above us. My daughter noted at that time that all of the dogs in the neighborhood began to bark. Immediately after the fourth burnout a fifth approached and also burned out above us, about thirty seconds later all of the dogs quit barking. These appeared to be lower than normal airplane traffic and above the helicopter that transfers from one hospital to another several times a week. I am ex Air Force and I know what all types of aircraft look like. These were large flaming balls , no aircraft lights, red, green or strobe. A truly majestic sight to see. The best I can explain is that it looked like a distance campfire, but in the sky, moving faster than normal aircraft. Location, Albion Road, North Royalton Ohio 44133, moving east to west just south of Albion road. The last object I looked for red and green lights and strobes but none were present. I have never seen aircraft like these and there were aircraft in the air that night that were clearly airplanes. 180 Description: Firelight in the sky, approaching very fast then flaming out.
