The 2 large bright lights appeared at what seemed to be the top of the object. There were many smaller lights below that put off a tremendous amount of glowing light. It almost looked like a very large crash guard on the front of a semi-truck. The Interstate Hwy was running perpendicular to the object and there weren't any other roads in the area of travel of the object. Also, the object was far to large to travel on any road or highway. The object appeared coming over the top of a local 3 or 4 story hotel. It was either moving toward my location or coming up off the ground. I am a licensed Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic and have been around airports and all types of aircraft and have never experienced anything of this sort. The object was there for 10 to 15 seconds and seemed to speed away a very high rate of acceleration.

UFO Sighting in Brentwood, New York on May 31st 1979 - Large dark disk, size of stop sign at arms length, no lights. or sound that I remember, summer.
Between the years 1979-81, approx 8:30-10:00pm (fully dark out) warmer months, summer. I was between the ages of 8-10 yrs old, may have been younger. I was standing at my back door calling for my cat to come in as I did every night. Suddenly I noticed a large black disk the size of a stop sign at arms length approx the height of a tall radio tower floatng slowly from the left rear of my yard. It may have made noise, if it did, it was not loud. It moved over my house diagnolly to leave the front right side (facing home). I ran from my back door to the front door outside holding the hand rail as I looked up at this massive disc. I was young, I did not know about UFOs. The bottom didn't appear to be smooth, it looked like it had sections that were raised, with sharp edges? Not excessively, enough to see a difference. I was awed, amazed. And I watched as it moved slowly across the sky. The sky was clear, because it was dark against the craft. I watched it till I could not see it anymore due to homes or trees. I must have gone in at that point because I was not allowed out front by myself. I know what I saw, but I don't know what it was. It has stayed with me all these yrs, clear in my head. I recently was out walking my dog and stopped to look at a radio towers height, and figured what I saw that night was as high or a little higher. And I think it must have been as big or bigger than a stop sign held at arms length. I want to know if anyone else saw anything? I want to know and understand what it was I saw. I want answers. I would love for people to take me seriously when I talk about my experiences. I am a college graduate, single mom of two teenagers. I work full time for a local builder. I am a skeptical believer in Ufology. I have followed the subject for at least 25 yrs, or longer. I am a current member of MUFON. Thank you for your time.

UFO Sighting in Essex, Maryland on February 7th 2014 - Saw large bright sphere w/ tail that turned slightly and formed 3 blue-green smaller lights.
I was driving on Route 702 with my adult daughter. It was dark and we were headed opposite of 695. It appeared 3 times larger than a moon in the sky and I thought it was a meteor as it looked like it had a tail of light. It was traveling very fast and it looked like it was going to crash into the wooded area. It slowed down at the top of the trees and made a slight turn and the bright sphere turned into 3 smaller blue-green spheres that were in a diagonal straight line. After it turned into the 3 smaller spheres it appeared to "cloak" into the sky. I was unsure if I was really seeing what I thought I was, when my daughter looked over and said "Mom, did you see that?". I said yes and I was glad she had seen it also.

Friend looking out the bedroom window told me to come and look atan object n the sky. Was large fast moving orange colored ball/sphere traveing from the north to south at a high speed. Have never observed simaler object. Lasted 45 to 60 seconds.

UFO Sighting in Sherman Oaks, California on July 4th 1979 - Large Mother Ship ejecting orbs over Sherman Oaks California
We lived on a dead end street directly next to a large community park that had fireworks diplays every fourth of July. My family and I were sitting on our roof watching the display. The direction of the fireworks was just to the south of the house about an eigth to a quarter mile away. Fireworks were slightly above eye level at that distance. I turned to the north to look around...you could see a couple other fireworks dislays way off in the distance. Then I noticed a semi transparent cigar or blimp shaped object moving very slowly from north to the south. I had to look for a few seconds to figure out that there was an object actually there. I thought it was a blimp because it was really big even at a distance. But, it was semi transparent and you had to really key in on it to get a good look. I judged it's alttitude to be somewhere between 1000 and 1500 feet. It moved closer to our location and I continued to watch it. As it moved close to us I alerted my family to look and they all turned and saw it. There were four of us on the roof at that moment with two more people in the back yard. As it approached it came directly overhead and then stopped. At that exact moment it lit up as a very bright solid white light that appeared to be rectangular shaped. I would roughly estimate it to be about the size of 1 or 2 football fields. After it became staionary small glowing bright red lights began to shoot out from all aroung the craft. They moved out in all directions in straight lines at a rapid rate of speed until each was out of sight. Maybe 20 or 30 total. I guess you could describe them as orbs, but they seemed to large to me. Maybe the size of VW's. Hard to say. After they stopped coming out the (mother ship) blinked out and appeared to be gone. The whole experience lasted about twenty-minutes. Never came public with this encounter until now, and don't know that anyone outside of my family actually saw it. A mystery to this day. I did hear of an encounter several years ago over France or England that sounded very similar in description of the craft, including the red orbs.

Large Asteroid Heading To Earth? "Pray", Says NASA
That's about all the United States - or anyone for that matter - could do at this point about unknown asteroids and meteors that may be on a collision course with Earth, Bolden told lawmakers at a U.S. House of Representatives Science Committee hearing on Tuesday.
An asteroid estimated to be have been about 55 feet in diameter exploded on February 15 over Chelyabinsk, Russia, generating shock waves that shattered windows and damaged buildings. More than 1,500 people were injured.
Later that day, a larger, unrelated asteroid discovered last year passed about 17,200 miles from Earth, closer than the network of television and weather satellites that ring the planet.
The events "serve as evidence that we live in an active solar system with potentially hazardous objects passing through our neighborhood with surprising frequency," said Representative Eddie Bernice Johnson, a Texas Democrat.
"We were fortunate that the events of last month were simply an interesting coincidence rather than a catastrophe," said Committee Chairman Lamar Smith, a Texas Republican, who called the hearing to learn what is being done and how much money is needed to better protect the planet.
NASA has found and is tracking about 95 percent of the largest objects flying near Earth, those that are .62 miles or larger in diameter.
"An asteroid of that size, a kilometer or bigger, could plausibly end civilization," White House science advisor John Holdren told legislators at the same hearing.
But only about 10 percent of an estimated 10,000 potential "city-killer" asteroids, those with a diameter of about 165 feet have been found, Holdren added.
On average, objects of that size are estimated to hit Earth about once every 1,000 years.
"From the information we have, we don't know of an asteroid that will threaten the population of the United States," Bolden said. "But if it's coming in three weeks, pray."
In addition to stepping up its monitoring efforts and building international partnerships, NASA is looking at developing technologies to divert an object that may be on a collision course with Earth.
"The odds of a near-Earth object strike causing massive casualties and destruction of infrastructure are very small, but the potential consequences of such an event are so large it makes sense to takes the risk seriously," Holdren said.
About 66 million years ago, an object 6 miles in diameter is believed to have smashed into what is now the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico, leading to the demise of the dinosaurs, as well as most plant and animal life on Earth.
The asteroid that exploded over Russia last month was the largest object to hit Earth's atmosphere since the 1908 Tunguska event when an asteroid or comet exploded over Siberia, leveling 80 million trees over more than 830 square miles (2,150 sq km).

Pennsylvania Witness Reports Large Triangle UFO
A Pennsylvania witness at Lehighton reported watching "a very large triangle" with three bright, white lights about 30 feet above the trees pass overhead, according to January 17, 2013, testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.
The witness was outside burning trash about 6:30 p.m. on January 9, 2013, when the object was first seen.
"As I turned to go back inside a very large triangle appeared from behind my home and passed directly over my head," the witness stated. "There were three extremely bright, white lights at each corner which strobed simultaneously and lit up the tree tops. The vehicle was no more than 30 feet above the trees (roughly 100 feet above my head) and made no sound at all."
The object was slow moving.
"I watched as it slowly drifted in a southerly direction for roughly two minutes as it could clearly be seen due to the extreme brightness of the lights. It seemed to stay just above the trees as it drifted away. It did not move quickly or make any sudden movements. I lost sight of it due to there being too many trees in my view."
No images or videos were included with the MUFON report, which was filed on January 17, 2013. The above quotes were edited for clarity. Lehighton is a borough in Carbon County, PA, population 5,537.

UFO Sighting in Chester, New Hampshire on December 28th 2012 - Looked like a large pinpoint of light...thought it was a star till I realized it was moving
Working on computer noticed from inside the house through an uncovered window a bright light. Thought it was a star until I realized it was moving very very slowly in a very straight line/path. Called my fiance to witness, thought maybe was having a dizzy spell and that the object wasn't moving that I was dizzy. My fiance confirmed the thing was moving. WE watched it until it got to a certain point and it started to fade then it disappeared. It was much lower than the stars.

UFO Sighting in Mooresville, North Carolina on July 9th 1967 - Large U.F.O. over my Grand-father's Church
When I was about 10 years old. I was walking out of my grandfather's church when I looked up. I had never seen an airplane before, so I thought, "uh-oh. This is it." I saw the bomb doors open and I thought I saw a man in a gray jacket with gray fur around his face and wearing very large sunglasses. He looked down at me. I waved at him but he didn't wave back, so I bent over for some rocks to throw at him. He finally raised his arm to say "How" just like the Indians did on TV and the movies. He had no gloves on and he had very long fingers on his left hand. I dropped the rocks and started to wave back at him. The ship was moving about 3 miles an hour, so I walked with it and we stared at each other until it disappeared over the treetops behind the church.
