Did H.G. Wells Predict Roswell Crash and UFO Disclosure?

It's ironic that UFO sightings are surging just at a time the British Ministry of Defence is closing its UFO hotline. While the Vatican, in no less than five public statements, recently declared the alien phenomena to be real, while the U.N. holds not so secret meetings on the subject, while investigative organizations like MUFON are receiving the highest level of UFO sightings ever, while the Canadian former Minister of Defence, Paul Hellyer proclaims the U.S. is hiding UFO encounters, the official stamp is "silence," on the subject. So it is a good time to reflect on the "father of awareness of the alien encounter," H.G. Wells.

Wells' visions were astounding and the accuracy of his predictions are even more magnificent. Wells was a British writer (1866-1946) who, through his writing, foresaw world war, modern mechanized artillery, the use of poison gas as a weapon and the fall of the British Empire. But UFO enthusiasts and believers might be more interested to reflect on an important aspect of Wells' work. That Wells' writings were the first step to wake up the world that we are not alone. In his novel, The War Of The Worlds, Wells wrote of the crashing down of an alien craft from another world and the revelation to humanity that we do not run the universe.

He introduced poison black gas as a deadly weapon as later used in WW1, heat-rays, like the microwave super weapons quietly in use now. He described the aliens as being of a different composition than us and with different tolerances to gravity, atmosphere, sunlight and bacteria, much like scientist are discussing now in relation to the discovery of exoplanets and their possible life forms. Virtually all he predicted has come true. The dark but necessary question is, what about his visions of alien invasion?

His book has been made into movies and radio plays many times but has always been altered to virtually unrecognizable. Now a new movie, War OF The Worlds The True Story, takes the unique approach to Wells' first ever alien contact premise and treats the material as if it actually happened in the year 1900. The movie is presented as a straight up war docudrama -- a war docudrama between Earth and invading aliens. War OF The Worlds The True Story has just been released on DVD and internet On Demand streaming rental to glowing reviews.

Ain't It Cool News said of War Of The Worlds The True Story, "Highly recommended." The Los Angeles Times said, "'War Of The Worlds The True Story' is clever like Wells. Hugely inventive and ambitious."

The Hollywood Reporter called the movie, "Impressive." You Won Cannes said, "Ever since the 1953 movie adaptation of War Of The Worlds there have been numerous other translations of Wells' novel, even a 1988 short lived TV series, but of all the ones I have seen the only two-yes, only two-I find worthy of repeated viewings is the '53 film and this new 2013 docudrama." Steven Rose Jr. of the Sacramento Examiner gave the movie 5 out of 5 stars and said, "'The True Story' carries the suspense and drama of both the 1953 movie and Spielberg's 2005 version but in a more realistic manner through its documentary style."

Citizen Hearing on Disclosure

By the time this article is published I will be in Washington DC, where I am one of the participants in the Citizen Hearing on Disclosure. This ambitious event is being organized by lobbyist/activist Steve Bassett, under the slogan “If the Congress won’t do its job, the people will”. There have not been formal Congressional hearings on the UFO phenomenon since 1968 and in the absence of any apparent willingness to hold any new such event, Steve Bassett has decided to do what he regards as the next best thing.

The five-day event is being held at the National Press Club, where the main ballroom is being reconfigured to resemble a Senate hearing room. The proceedings will resemble a genuine Congressional hearing where possible and at time of writing, five former Congresspeople and one former Senator have agreed to serve on the committee. The committee will take formal written statements and oral evidence from various themed panels, who they will then quiz on a wide range of UFO-related issues. Some of the witnesses will give lectures in the evenings and the whole event will be live streamed in several languages and filmed for a future documentary.

The witnesses comprise a wide range of people. Some (like me) are ex-government officials. Others are former military personnel and there are also a large number of internationally-renowned researchers and experts. Astronaut and sixth man on the moon Dr Edgar Mitchell is the event’s international spokesperson. The current plan is that I’ll discuss the UK Ministry of Defense’s UFO project and the release of the MoD’s UFO files, as well as sitting on a panel on the Rendlesham Forest incident – alongside the two USAF airmen who were at the heart of the incident, John Burroughs and Jim Penniston.

Initial reactions from the UFO community have been mixed. Some people support the event and believe it will help bring about “Disclosure”. Others are more skeptical and think the presence of some of the more controversial witnesses will bring the subject into disrepute and make the whole affair counterproductive.

My own view is that the Citizen Hearing on Disclosure is a tremendous opportunity to keep the subject in the public eye. The event has already generated considerable mainstream media coverage and I’m sure there’s more to come. Additionally, there is the opportunity to develop some useful political contacts, through the well-connected committee members. Finally, there are the inevitable benefits that come from any situation where witnesses and experts come together in an environment where there are extensive opportunities for networking, where the latest information and theories can be discussed and debated.

In my next UFO Digest column, I’ll give an update on the Citizen Hearing on Disclosure and give readers an insider’s view of what it was like taking part, reporting on key developments and behind the scenes stories, as well as giving an overall verdict on the effectiveness of the event.

The Mutual UFO Network announcement previously described by International Director David MacDonald as “blockbuster” was released Sunday afternoon. Sources inform 'Orlando Paranormal Examiner' that researcher Harry Drew took the podium in Covington, Ky., explaining he is convinced he has located two sites where alien craft landed or crashed in 1953. The sites are in the vicinity of Kingman, Ariz. Drew explained he believes the craft were brought down by triangulated radar running at boosted power to extend range.

According to Drew, military personnel quickly retrieved and cleaned up the wreckage. The archaeologist and historian apparently included photos of the sites in his presentation, as well as presented information contradicting past accounts of the case and alleged crashes.

UFO's Fact Or Fiction Are We Closer To Full Disclosure?

UFO stands for Unidentified Flying Object and they have been seen since the beginning of recorded history. When most people hear the word they think of little green men or an object under intelligent control. Under that definition over 50% of Americans believe in them and 12% have reported to have seen a UFO!

It is said that 80-95% of all sightings can be debunked as airplanes, helicopters, birds, planets, meteors, weather balloons, distant lights or disintegrating satellites reentering earths atmosphere.

Modern day UFO history did not occur until June 1947 when Kenneth Arnold spotted several "flying saucers" flying by Mt. Rainer he estimated the speed to be in excess of 1000mph. Officially there was nothing that could fly that fast but it has been suggested that recovered wartime German technology was responsible or the often seen foo fighters buzzing allied aircraft.

Then a month later the famous Roswell Dailey Record announced the capture or a flying saucer on a ranch near Roswell with aliens. This story was soon changed to a weather balloon and 50 years later it was disclosed that what had occurred was the testing of manikins dropped by Para shoot. The Roswell New Mexico UFO is probably the most noted of all reports and people who were involved in the sighting and the recovery near their later years in life or upon death bed confessions have stated that what was recovered was not of this world or planet.

Even with many of the credible witnesses with the Bentwaters Case in England in 1980 and the hundreds of witnesses on the Phoenix lights in 1997 that were written off as military flares there still seems to be a lack of support from our own government to give full disclosure or any disclosure.

Even with the public at large witnessing these unidentified aircraft we seem to be no closer to full disclosure than we were 10 or 50 years ago.

Former President Jimmy Carter had admitted to seeing a UFO. Former President Ronald Reagan was said to have a fascination with extraterrestrial craft and in a 1987 speech to the United Nations asked what does it take for people to unite and stop fighting among them selves and other nations, a threat that is extra terrestrial and not from this earth! Was he pushing for a Star Wars missile defense system to defend from the Soviets or some other threat that was not from this world?

Many astronauts who flew on the Apollo missions in the late 60's early 70's have reported seeing unidentified flying objects. The O'Hare airport UFO was seen by pilots, passengers and ground observers.

With all these reports it can be easy to debunk the public at large but when you have public figures and professionals seeing the same type of phenomenon it gets hard to write off all these sighting a hallucinations or reports from crazy people especially if they are seeing them in different environments like, water, low earth in the sky and even space and the moon!

Were Project Blue Book and the Condon Report an attempt to debunk UFO's and witnesses? Things have not seemed to improve much in the last 40 years when it comes to full disclosure.

Many a skeptic can say that science can not prove that extraterrestrial craft exists. Well at one time current science thought the world was flat and the sun circled the earth. Maybe it is time we change at how we look at things.

The Tug-of-War of UFO Disclosure

Why does the US government continue to conceal the truth about UFOs and ETs? Is it truly ignorant of the UFO presence above and on the Earth? Or has it been keeping watch of the UFO phenomenon because it believes the public is not ready to know the truth? Why is it proliferating disinformation instead of real information? Why won't our own government disclose the truth? Does it not trust us? Obviously not.

"It appears that there or at least 16 different American intelligence agencies. Can we be expected to believe that none of them are involved in collecting and evaluating data about flying saucers? Wouldn't the FBI be hearing things? They certainly had files on UFO organizations, rock stars, and so on?" (Stanton Friedman, Flying Saucers and Science)

If anything, these intelligence agencies are involved in concealment of whatever information they have collected. But they can't conceal everything. They can't control the individuals who have experienced sightings or abductions or any kind of alien contact. They can try to silence them, which they have attempted over the years. But the truth always gets out. The reality always prevails, although not always in full. There will always be the deceitful circulation of disinformation and propaganda. So what we've got here is a failure of full disclose. What we've got is an ongoing tug-o-war between "we the people" and Uncle Sam.

Although the government still endeavors to instigate concealment, a large percentage of the truth has been disclosed already. But not by our government. The truth has been disclosed by UFO and alien sighters and abductees for the most part. Many individuals have had close encounters of the third and fourth kind. They have either seen evidence of extraterrestrials up close or have been abducted by them. Distant sightings of UFOs that may be flying hubcaps and so forth naturally are discounted.

Approximately 50% of the American population believes in UFOs and ETs. The other 50% either doesn't want to know or just doesn't believe. Many people know the truth is out, but it's just not in the mainstream yet. You don't hear about it in the News, not in the conventional newspapers, TV, or radio. But you will hear about it in the tabloids, underground magazines, web sites, late-night talk shows (like Coast to Coast AM), and so forth. Plus scads of books have been written on the subject, usually by researchers and investigators and eyewitnesses.

The government is ignoring all of us who knows the cat is out of the bag. They discredit all those who know the truth. There are too many eyewitnesses of UFO's and ETs, and countless researchers and investigators have been reporting these findings. The UFO community is large and growing, but the US government denies them any credibility and shames them for what they know. The government would rather foist them off as hoaxers and liars, or just delusional.

Perhaps a large percentage of UFO sightings are indeed hoaxes. Anybody can spray paint a Frisbee silver, throw it up into the sky and take a snapshot of it. And anybody can tell a grim tale that they were abducted by aliens. But many of the actual abductees have proof in or on their bodies, such as implants or various markings on their skin, and psychological scars, and so forth. But as usual, the debunkers are ready to debunk them all.

Stanton Friedman explains, "Still, there are noisy negativists who still insist there is no cover-up." In other words, people who blindly spout no real government cover-up exists, that we're imagining such conspiracies, have got their heads in the sand. They're flat-out in denial. All I can say is, let's open our eyes, so we can see what's out there. The truth is out there!

UFO Disclosure - ET Disclosure - Why It Will Never Happen From the President

I have been following the UFO and Extraterrestrial phenomena since the 1970's, I have read numerous books by many of the top authors in the field including those by: Vallee, Strieber, Hopkins, Imbrogno, and literally tons of other authors. The phenomena seems to be growing more and more every year, and there are reports of UFO's and actual encounters with non-earth beings from all around the globe, not to mention reports of crop circles.

The UFO sightings may be increasing or they may not be, one thing that has increased at a dramatic pace is the technology that allows people to capture and report the sightings, such as cell phones, digital cameras, and a host of other devices. Maybe what really has increased is the technology to report the sightings, instead of the sightings themselves, but this like most areas of the UFO phenomena, will continue to be up for debate.

Besides the reported pace of UFO sightings increasing, there is another branch of this same field that seems to be growing at a rapid pace also, and that is that we are on the verge of a major News release by the USA President or some other government agency stating that UFO's and Extraterrestrial's are visiting the Earth, in other words, we are on the verge of UFO Disclosure.

I have been reading about UFO disclosure since the late 1970's, as far back as I started reading and researching the UFO phenomena it's self. What is the major reason for UFO disclosure according to most of the people that report it's coming? Hollywood and the Movies. If you research back over the years, you will read reports in books, and magazines and other publications where some major author or so called expert in the field of UFO's states, UFO Disclosure is about to be released.

If you do a little bit of careful research you will discover that just before the UFO disclosure fever revs up, there has been a major motion picture released with UFO's or Extraterrestrial's as the subject, such examples are: Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977), and ET The Extraterrestrial (1982), i.e., right up to the current releases such as Independence Day (1996), The Fourth Kind (2009), Skyline (2010), and now there are at least two UFO - Extraterrestrial movies to be released in 2011.

So as more and more such movies are released, more and more the fever over UFO Disclosure will rise, as folks will say the government is behind the directors in Hollywood, paying them fees, or offering some other incentive to create and release movies on the UFO-ET subject, to get the people of the world ready or prepare our minds to accept such a release of information from the President or some other Government agency.

This is nothing but foolishness, if you research the movies over time, starting from 'SKYLINE (2010), and going way back to the original 'War of the Worlds (1953), you will discover that the majority of any UFO-ET movie is not a pleasant subject, the aliens are far superior, they come to attack, colonize, or destroy mankind, there are tons of huge effects, with major explosions, and scenes of terror, excitement, and action.

The only reason Hollywood, Producers, Directors or sources for funding for such projects releases more and more of these films, is because they have a huge audience, and bring in a LOT of money. When you find a subject such as UFO's and Extraterrestrial's Invading the earth, to be such a huge money making source, you are going to see more and more of these films being made, the only true disclosure is, 'Hey! These films make a lot of money!

And if you truly believe that there is disclosure coming by the President of the USA or some agency of the Government, stop and think about it! For years and years, every since as far back as the major UFO sighting and reported abduction of Betty and Barney Hill (1961), there have been thousands of reports of not only UFO sightings but abductions by aliens, mostly the species known as the 'Greys'.

Reputable people from not only the USA but around the world have reported UFO sightings and abductions, these people range from police officers, doctors, lawyers, airline pilots and tons of other highly regarded people, with great credentials behind them.

Every since the so called Alien flying saucer crash at Roswell in 1947, the Government of the USA as stated time after time, that there are NO ALIEN UFO's, NO Extraterrestrial beings visiting the Earth, so what does this say about all of the eye witnesses to such UFO's, even the airline pilots and others with such big credentials, it says that they are either mistaken for what they have seen, or they are lying, or worse.

The same thing is said about those that have reported abductions, they are either being fed the information by the Hypnotherapist that regress them, or they have lied about the whole incident, or their mental state makes them believe it has happened, even though it's just a fantasy, the Government says, there has been and is no proof of any alien abductions, in fact folks have been ridiculed, and made to look completely insane for over 60 years by the USA Government, so do you truly believe this same Government or the President, is going to come forward and say, 'Reports about UFO's and Extraterrestrial's have been real!', of course not. There would be such a state of chaos around the world, that it would be worse if the aliens are real, and launched a world wide attack against us, disclosure cannot happen, and will not happen, by the USA Government or the President of the United States.

If UFO's are real, and Extraterrestrial's are visiting us, and abducting humans and animals such as cows and horses, the only way disclosure can occur is by the Aliens themselves, as a worldwide landing or such mass unveiling occurs, as the sighting of hundreds of giant spaceships and one time, over major cities of the world.
